Bejarano Family – Denton Family Photographer

The Bejarano family was one of the first families on my calendar for the fall season.  Jessica wanted to be able to pick the date before I got booked up.  We had planned for a day in the middle of November because the weather is usually cool enough to where you won’t sweat in a sweater, and the leaves are in the process of changing colors.  The week of the session, their sweet daughter came down with RSV and the Saturday we had scheduled was supposed to be the coldest we had so far.  I very rarely reschedule due to temperature because you really just never know, but with Briella having RSV and the temperature forecast continuing to drop, we rescheduled.

The weather and that little dress.  The two biggest stressors around this photo session.  Jessica had seen the perfect dress for her daughter Briella and decided to plan everyone else’s outfits around it.  But just like it always happens, when you have something set in your mind, the universe is against you to make it happen.  Every single Target was out of that darned dress in Briella’s size, even online said they were sold out.  Jessica and I teach 6th graders together, so it became the topic of our conversations at lunch the weeks leading up to the shoot.

The weekend before the shoot, I was in a Target in another nearby town.  I walked by the little girl section and just picked through the sizes just to double check.  Of course they didn’t have the size, so we kept moving along.  It wasn’t 15 minutes later that I saw Jessica in the same Target and said she had found it!  Apparently they had called the store and found out that there was one available which had to have been the one on the mannequin.  She didn’t care where it was as long as she had it!

It was the perfect pop of detail for their gorgeous family photos, and while she wasn’t the most thrilled to be taking pictures at 7:30 in the morning with chilly temperatures, she looked adorable in the perfect little dress!
