When Ashlyn’s mom asked back in the spring if I would take her senior pictures, I couldn’t have been more excited.  Senior girls are so much fun to photograph.  They are (usually) excited to have their picture taken and living the best year of their life!

I was so looking forward to this session.  I mean, I look forward to all my sessions, but this one was so special.  Nine years ago I walked into my very first classroom and was handed a list of 21 fourth graders, and Ashlyn was one of them.  There is just something special about your first year of kids.  Those kids you don’t forget, and Ashlyn was definitely one of them.  She was kind of quiet, brilliant, and had the best smile.  Even at 9 years old, I could tell that she was going places, and man, she has proven me right!

Ashlyn is involved in the AFJROTC at her high school and was named the Corp Commander for her senior year.  She also plays Roller Derby for a team in Colorado and has to travel out there once a month for practices and competitions.  She is in the top 10% of her class of over 600 students, and plans to study chemical engineering when she graduates.  To top it all off, she is sweet, genuine, easy going, and still has the best smile.  She is just an all round gorgeous girl, inside and out.

Ashlyn, you are going to do great things.  You already have.  I’m so proud of you and proud of who you have become!  I’m honestly not surprised at all the accomplishments you have had in the last 9 years.  As a little 4th grader, I knew you would be great!
