The newborn stage is gone in the blink of an eye. The sleepless nights, the worries about pooping and eating, the tiny fingers and tiny toes, it’s all gone so fast. And while it seems so long in the moment, when you are out of it, sometimes it hard to even remember what it was like. All you have are those pictures and videos you were constantly taking of every outfit, same sleeping face, and every other facial expression. Having had 3 kids, I’ve lived this, 3 times. This is why newborn photos are so important to me.
Luke was just 10 days old and the most precious little baby. And as first time parents, Rachel and Nathan were so flexible and easy going throughout the whole shoot. Luke melted in their arms and was calm and peaceful (especially after his belly was full). He was awake most of the shoot, but then fell asleep at the very end so we could get some pretty dreamy shots of his tiny little features.
Thank you, Rachel and Nathan, for inviting me into your home to document this special time in your life, possibly even the most special time in your life. Just from the little amount of time I spent with you, I know you are both wonderful parents. Parenthood is one of the most exciting and terrifying journeys. Welcome to the ride!
