The big push in the photography world is to specialize in one area, and while at different points in my business I have tried to make my focus in one area or another, I just can’t seem to say “no” to anything. I just love it all. After a senior session, I have come home and told my husband “I LOVE doing senior photos!” They are excited about their upcoming adventures and each individual to their personalities. I have also come home from weddings and said, “I LOVE weddings and couples!” The love on that day, the details from all the planning, and the variety of it all makes it so exciting from start to finish. I have come home from family shoots and said “I LOVE capturing families!” With my own little family I know how much I cherish my own family photos in every season. And I came home from my most reason newborn session with the Welch’s and said “I LOVE newborn sessions!”
I had been communicating with Sarah for a few months, and the day of their newborn shoot, I finally got to meet them. There is something so special about a “first family shoot”. It’s capturing the new normal, the crazy, and just the beginning. Sarah and Cody were naturals. It was like they had been parents forever. The way they held Josiah, talked to him, consoled him, and loved all over him was so beautiful. It was just another reminder that “I LOVE newborn sessions!”
Sarah and Cody, thank you for allowing me into your home to capture your little family. It was an honor to capture the love between all three of you!
