“Babies don’t keep”.  That’s what I was always told when my oldest was first born.  I didn’t really understand exactly what that meant until I was pregnant with my third child.  I remember when my youngest was born, I told my husband “I don’t ever want to put him down, because now I have a full understanding of just how fast time flies.”  I definitely enjoyed all my babies, but I hate that it took me until my third baby to really feel the magnitude of what that statement really means.

Harper was a doll at her 1 year session, and I think her mom and grandma both couldn’t believe how fast the last year has gone.  Harper was one of the easiest babies I’ve ever photographed because of her infatuation with my camera, oh and the fact that she’s not walking yet helped too. She sat calm, stared at the camera, and just smiled.

We saved the smash cake for the very end, and for a baby that had never tasted that much sugar, if any sugar at all, she was in heaven with those first bites but also gave us the sign when she was “all done”.

Happy birthday sweet girl.  It is obvious that you are so loved and adored by so many!
