When I graduated high school I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. I was just ready to get out of town, and head to college. It wasn’t until my second semester of my sophomore year that I finally landed in education, just in time to not have to cram my semesters in order to graduate on time.
All that to say, I’m so impressed when I meet seniors who know what they are going to do already. They are driven, inspired, and ready to get started head on. Joseph is one of those seniors! Joseph is the drum major of his high school band, plays in the jazz band, is in the National Honor Society, and played soccer. He wants to be a pilot one day, and even in his extremely busy senior schedule, he has already gotten started on earning his private pilot’s license so he is a step ahead once he starts at OSU in the fall.
I had such a fun time roaming around the Denton square capturing Joseph’s senior photos in the town that he grew up in and loves, but getting to shoot out at the airport where he is learning to fly was exciting. Watching him around the airplanes, explaining flying terms to his mom and me, I could tell that he was really passionate about this field and where he is going with his future.
Congratulations, Joseph! I know you have made so many people so proud throughout your school career, and I know you will continue to do so as you chase your dreams of becoming a pilot!
Great photos of a remarkable young man!
