Dylan and Morgan have known each other since Morgan was 5 years old. When we got to the LBJ Grasslands, we were waiting for a couple boats to pull out of the water, so we could have the dreamy scenery to ourselves, and Morgan’s sister pulled out her phone. She said, “Just because I think it’s adorable, here is one of their first pictures together.” It was a picture of a group of kids with 5 year old Morgan in the front and Dylan in the back with some other boys. Dylan was Morgan’s older brother’s best friend, and they joked that when Dylan finally showed some interest in Morgan, her mom and sister said, “it’s about time”.
When Morgan contacted me about doing their engagement photos, she already had a location in mind. She asked if we could go out to the LBJ Grasslands in Decatur because that is where Dylan proposed to her back in January. I was excited to do this shoot in such a special location for them. When we got there, they showed me the exact spot where he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Despite the other cars/boat trailers parked there, we made sure to get some photos in “their spot”.
Watching them together was adorable, heartwarming, precious, and any other lovey dovey word you can think of. Dylan was quiet, but the way he looked at Morgan spoke volumes. Just in the short time I was with them, I could tell they were two of the most genuine, authentic, head over heels in love, type of people. Congratulations Dylan and Morgan! This is only the beginning!
