It had been almost 2 years since I last photographed this family. Olivia will be 2 in November, and it was her newborn pictures that I had seen this family last. Have I mentioned before that I LOVE returning clients?? I mean, how special that I get to capture some of the most incredible moments for families, from maternity with a firstborn to newborn, and then back to maternity for little sister. It truly is a gift.
Kim warned me from the very beginning that this could be rough. Olivia had been away from her the day before, and she said she is normally pretty clingy when that happens. And everyone was tired, but we were going to make the best of it. Needless to say, one thing after another kept going wrong. Olivia was clingy, just like she said, but not only that, in the first 10 minutes of the session, the tie on Kim’s dress ripped and she got mud on her gorgeous, white, lace dress. It felt like one thing after another, but with Kim’s easy going spirit, you can’t even tell from these photos. All you see is a snuggly sweet toddler who loves her mommy and loves that baby sister growing in her momma’s belly, a glowing momma to be, and a daddy who sure loves being surrounded by all these gorgeous girls.
Congratulations David and Kim on another girl! I sure can’t wait to meet sweet Claire!
